Cloud Solutions Architect

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $100,000–$190,000 annually

What you will do

• Design end-to-end cloud solutions spanning compute, networking, storage, identity, data, and observability.
• Lead solution architecture reviews, approval processes, and technical decisions for major cloud initiatives.
• Define landing zones, account structures, tagging strategies, reference architectures, blueprints, and reusable engineering patterns.
• Architect cloud security, identity, compliance, networking topologies, hybrid connectivity, transit hubs, and private endpoints.
• Lead cloud migration, modernization, re-platforming, platform consolidation, capacity planning, and FinOps initiatives.
• Produce formal architecture artifacts, engage cloud providers, assess emerging capabilities, and mentor engineering teams during delivery.

Requirements

• U.S. work authorization required: U.S. Citizens, Green Card Holders, EAD Holders, or H-1B transfer candidates may apply.
• New H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored for this position.
• 12+ years of experience, including software engineering or solution architecture experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Deep expertise with cloud-native solutions on at least one major cloud platform, including networking, identity, security, containerization, serverless, and managed data services.
• Cloud architecture certification from AWS, Azure, or GCP, with strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and architecture documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Multiple cloud architecture certifications.
• Multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architecture experience.
• Familiarity with TOGAF or other enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Experience with regulated industries and strict cloud compliance requirements.
• Experience driving FinOps and cloud cost transparency initiatives.
