Oracle Database Developer II (PL/SQL)

Location: Hybrid office-based role in Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. Availability for a late shift with a few hours of overlap with the EST time zone is required.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain databases for clinical research projects and data management activities.
• Gather and analyze data requirements with cross-functional teams while ensuring compatibility and regulatory compliance.
• Implement data models, schemas, tables, procedures, functions, views, and materialized views.
• Integrate data from various data marts for downstream systems, reporting, and client data exports.
• Perform database performance tuning and optimization to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot database-related issues to minimize project disruption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of extensive SQL experience and hands-on Oracle database experience.
• Experience with Toad, PL/SQL, Oracle SQL Developer, Oracle objects, integrated data reporting, testing, and performance tuning.
• Experience creating and using tables, procedures, functions, views, and materialized views.
• Fluent conversational and written English for technical documentation.
• Availability to work a late shift with EST overlap and to work in the Dublin hybrid office setup.

• CA Atomic.
• IICS/PC.
• Shell or Python scripting.
• Unix/Linux experience.
