Senior Software Development Engineer - Product Development Tools (Java)

Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid work with at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or in the field

Salary: €86,400–€129,600 EUR gross annual base salary, with potential bonus and annual stock grants

What you will do

• Build and evolve developer tools that improve productivity for hirify.global Product Engineering teams.
• Design, build, and ship scalable APIs and microservices for development and testing workflows.
• Improve automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Analyze requirements, troubleshoot complex systems and data flows, and make pragmatic technical decisions.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineering teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Write technical design documents and contribute to code reviews and constructive feedback.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience, including leading technical initiatives and designing complex systems.
• 8+ years of object-oriented and/or functional programming experience, including Java, JavaScript, Ruby, or Scala.
• Deep expertise in API development and designing, building, and shipping microservices.
• Experience with automation, CI/CD, web testing software, TDD, unit and system testing, debugging, and profiling.
• Experience with IDEs and build or CI/CD tools such as IntelliJ, Git, Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, Harness, and Artifactory.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field, plus experience with cloud platforms, Docker, and data engineering pipelines.
