TL;DR
Software Engineer (Agentic AI): Designing and scaling APIs and backend services optimized for AI agents to autonomously process workflows within the platform with an accent on determinism, resiliency, and self-describing interfaces. Focus on building the neural pathways for next-generation agentic experiences, implementing high-throughput distributed systems, and establishing API governance standards.
Location: Hybrid (Dublin, Ireland) - Must spend at least 50% of time in office or in the field
Salary: €72,000 – €108,000 EUR

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain product APIs and backend services for agentic AI use cases.
- Implement robust API behaviors including routing, validation, authentication, and error handling.
- Build high-throughput, low-latency components focusing on resiliency, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- Apply API contract and governance practices using OpenAPI/Swagger and internal standards.
- Develop frameworks and tooling for defining and maintaining REST, SOAP, and Graph APIs.
- Utilize observability tools (metrics, tracing, logging) to drive performance and reliability improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering building scalable backend services or platforms.
- 3+ years of production experience with TypeScript or Python.
- 2+ years of experience with web service/API technologies (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) and contract-first design.
- 2+ years of experience with distributed systems architecture and concurrency management.
- Must be based in or able to work from Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid 50% office).
Nice to have
- Proficiency with modern AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).
- Experience with cloud-based development (AWS, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar integration models.
