Location: Hybrid (Dublin, Ireland) - Must spend at least 50% of time in office or in the field

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain product APIs and backend services for agentic AI use cases.
• Implement robust API behaviors including routing, validation, authentication, and error handling.
• Build high-throughput, low-latency components focusing on resiliency, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Apply API contract and governance practices using OpenAPI/Swagger and internal standards.
• Develop frameworks and tooling for defining and maintaining REST, SOAP, and Graph APIs.
• Utilize observability tools (metrics, tracing, logging) to drive performance and reliability improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering building scalable backend services or platforms.
• 3+ years of production experience with TypeScript or Python.
• 2+ years of experience with web service/API technologies (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) and contract-first design.
• 2+ years of experience with distributed systems architecture and concurrency management.
• Must be based in or able to work from Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid 50% office).

Nice to have

• Proficiency with modern AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).
• Experience with cloud-based development (AWS, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar integration models.
