Assistant Project Manager - Mechanical

What you will do

• Support the planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of large-scale commercial and industrial construction projects.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, vendors, and subcontractors to support efficient project execution.
• Track project costs, production quantities, progress, schedules, risks, and potential delays.
• Prepare and maintain RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, change orders, meeting minutes, daily reports, and project correspondence.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, field leadership, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Support procurement, project closeout, punch lists, turnover documentation, warranties, safety policies, and environmental compliance.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a coordinator, project engineer, assistant project engineer, or similar role in mechanical or structural construction.
• Experience with large-scale commercial or industrial projects, ideally valued at more than $10 million.
• Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred.
• Ability to use project management, scheduling, accounting, and Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to travel and a driver's license with a clean driving record.
• OSHA or equivalent safety training is preferred.

• Experience with HCSS Heavy Job or similar job-costing software.
• Experience with P6 or similar scheduling software.
• Experience with Viewpoint or similar accounting software.
• Experience with Heavy Bid or similar estimating software.
