Engineering Specialist II (Slider Metrology)

What you will do

• Perform AFM image analysis and interpret measurement data for Critical-to-Quality parameters.
• Review AFM measurement results for compliance with process and quality requirements.
• Troubleshoot AFM equipment and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Support AFM calibration, qualification, and performance verification activities.
• Investigate measurement and equipment issues, conduct root cause analysis, and improve measurement methods with process engineers.
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, and analysis documentation while supporting continuous improvement and manufacturing yield initiatives.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in metrology, electronics, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, instrumentation, or a related field.
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Understanding of SPC, GR&R, Measurement System Analysis, and statistical tools.
• Ability to analyze measurement data and identify trends or abnormalities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and independent-working skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AFM, metrology equipment, or precision measurement systems.
• Basic knowledge of data analysis and image analysis.
