TL;DR
Sr Accountant (Finance): Managing end-to-end financial accounting, reporting, accounts receivable, credit control, and financial planning activities with an accent on month-end close, reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and business performance analysis. Focus on coordinating audits and SOX compliance, managing customer credit, preparing forecasts, and improving finance processes in a multinational environment.
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; flexible work model with purposeful in-person collaboration

What you will do
- Manage the general ledger and coordinate month-end close with shared services according to corporate deadlines.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages, management reports, P&L analysis, and variance commentary.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and respond to internal and external audit, SOX, tax, and statutory reporting requests.
- Manage customer receivables, payment reconciliations, deductions, bad debt provisions, AR aging, credit analysis, and customer credit terms and limits.
- Partner with FP&A on financial planning and forecasting for SG&A and balance sheet items.
- Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly cash flow forecasts and support finance process improvement projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accountancy with a professional accounting qualification.
- At least 7 years of experience, including 3 or more years in an audit firm and in-house experience in a multinational company.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle; HighRadius experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of local and US GAAP and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with stakeholders at different levels across countries.
- Good command of English and Chinese required.
