Accountant

Location: On-site in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

hirify.global operates a group structure with Malaysia entities and overseas subsidiaries requiring coordinated accounting and financial reporting.

What you will do

• Maintain full sets of accounting records for Malaysia subsidiaries, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and accruals.
• Complete monthly, quarterly, interim, and year-end closing activities and prepare management accounts with variance analysis.
• Prepare group reporting packages, consolidation schedules, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany elimination support.
• Support accounting records, reporting submissions, audits, tax filings, budgets, forecasts, and bank reconciliations for overseas subsidiaries.
• Manage payment and receipt transactions, foreign currency translation, and intercompany balances in accordance with Group policies.
• Coordinate with Group Finance, overseas finance teams, banks, auditors, tax agents, legal advisors, and regulators.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a group or multinational environment.
• Hands-on experience with full sets of accounts and month-end closing.
• Experience in group reporting or consolidation is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, intercompany accounting, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems; ERP experience is an advantage.

Nice to have

• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA.
