Sr. Software Engineer (AI Tools)

Location: Remote within Mexico; must reside in Mexico and have the legal right to work in Mexico. Office access in Mexico City is optional.

What you will do

• Design and build AI agents, skills, and automation for engineering workflows.
• Develop capabilities for test generation, code review assistance, and CI feedback.
• Collaborate with engineers across teams to shape and adopt AI-assisted development workflows.
• Improve and modularize local development environments.
• Speed up tests and improve CI feedback quality.
• Build internal tools that reduce friction in everyday software development and drive adoption through practical collaboration.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of hands-on software engineering experience and strong coding fundamentals.
• Daily experience with agentic coding tools, particularly Codex and Claude.
• Experience extending AI tooling through custom agents, skills, prompts, or MCP servers.
• Experience building systems or tools used by other engineers, including Docker, local development environments, CI systems, automated testing, and test performance optimization.
• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript, plus required experience with AWS and Postgres.
• English proficiency, written and oral, is required.
