Senior AI Engineer (AI)

Location: Fully remote; candidates must already be based in Portugal and hold Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit.

What you will do

• Build agentic AI systems using orchestration frameworks, MCP, function calling, and structured outputs.
• Design and implement cloud architectures, with a focus on AWS and Amazon Bedrock.
• Develop production Python services with testing, CI/CD, REST APIs, and Docker.
• Implement enterprise security controls, including identity propagation, fine-grained RBAC, IAM, and policy enforcement.
• Develop SQL-based data models for AI agents working with enterprise data stores.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning, or data, including hands-on work on AI projects.
• Hands-on experience building agentic systems with orchestration frameworks, MCP, function calling, and structured outputs.
• Strong cloud architecture experience, ideally with AWS, including Amazon Bedrock.
• Production Python engineering experience with testing, CI/CD, REST, and Docker.
• Enterprise security knowledge covering identity propagation, fine-grained RBAC, IAM, and policy enforcement.
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills for AI agents working with enterprise data stores.
• Fluency in English at B2 level.
• Availability for fully remote work while already based in Portugal, with Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit.
