Senior Backend Engineer (Python, AI)

Location: Remote within Europe time zones

What you will do

• Design and build backend services in Python using FastAPI.
• Implement asynchronous job execution, status tracking, retries, and failure handling with Redis, Celery, and Kafka.
• Integrate internal and external LLM services and develop agentic AI solutions.
• Store, version, and serve creative assets efficiently.
• Develop APIs for the Creative Dashboard and internal AI agents, plus external MCP servers for third-party AI agents and clients.
• Build ETL pipelines, maintain data quality, and improve observability, stability, and inference cost efficiency.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Python backend development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and S3 or equivalent storage.
• Experience with asynchronous task queues, including Celery, Redis, or Kafka.
• Production experience with microservices, long-running jobs, retries, and failure handling.
• Hands-on experience building MCP servers, implementing agents, and integrating LLMs and generative models.
• Experience with observability, cross-functional collaboration, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with LangChain or agentic workflows.
• Marketing technology experience, especially ad platforms or creative tools.
• Experience with StarRocks or other OLAP databases such as ClickHouse.
