Forward Deployed Engineer (AI/Docker)

Location: Remote-first in the United States, with travel to customer sites up to 50%; offices are available in Seattle and Paris.

Salary: $198,000–$319,000 per year plus equity.

What you will do

• Embed with customer engineering teams to design, build, and ship solutions from prototypes through stable production rollouts.
• Deliver technical artifacts such as custom MCP servers, hirify.global Sandbox environments, containerized agents, hirify.global Compose definitions, and hardened image migration solutions.
• Integrate hirify.global's AI platform with identity providers, secrets managers, private and air-gapped registries, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.
• Translate security, compliance, data sovereignty, and platform requirements into production-ready controls for agentic AI workloads.
• Partner with Solutions Architecture, Product, Engineering, security, and platform teams to establish quality standards and turn customer learnings into reusable product capabilities.
• Define FDE delivery standards, mentor engineers, participate in hiring, and serve as a senior technical escalation point.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years in a customer-facing technical role.
• Expert production coding skills in Go, Python, or TypeScript, with experience leading technical design reviews and operating production software.
• Deep hands-on hirify.global expertise covering hirify.globalfiles, multi-stage builds, hirify.global Compose, registries, networking, storage, and container security.
• Production experience with LLMs and agents, including tool use, function calling, MCP server and client implementation, prompt and context engineering, and agent evaluation.
• Experience with software supply chain security, enterprise identity systems, OIDC, SAML, secrets management, Kubernetes, and at least one major cloud platform.
• Excellent communication, technical leadership, mentoring, autonomous delivery, and customer-facing collaboration skills; a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global Hardened Images, hirify.global Scout, MCP Gateway, MCP Toolkit, hirify.global Sandboxes, or hirify.global Model Runner.
• Experience deploying coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, or Cursor in enterprise environments.
• Experience with air-gapped, regulated, or compliance-driven environments.
• Open source contributions in container, Kubernetes, or MCP ecosystems.
• Experience founding or scaling an FDE or Professional Services practice.
