Sr. Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote in Mexico. An optional Mexico City office in the Reforma area is available for collaboration.

What you will do

• Design and develop features for the hirify.global product suite.
• Build and support scalable web applications across the full stack.
• Work with Python, Elixir, JavaScript, Next.js, React, and other web technologies.
• Use AI-enabled tools such as Claude and Codex for development, problem-solving, documentation, and productivity.
• Contribute to architectural evolution and innovative technology initiatives for a critical application.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams in an Agile environment using Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Slack.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience building scalable web applications, preferably with Elixir, Python, Django, and JavaScript.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud services, Linux-based containers, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and other storage technologies.
• Established practice of writing unit and integration tests.
• Active use of AI tools and modern developer platforms to improve engineering quality, velocity, and collaboration.
• Strong written and spoken English is required. A technical bachelor's degree is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience partnering with principal engineers and leadership on architectural evolution.
• Experience working across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
