Senior Director of Manufacturing & Test Engineering (Hardware)

Location: Spokane Valley, United States

Annual base pay: $226,400–$339,600, plus potential incentive compensation, bonuses, restricted stock units, and benefits.

What you will do

• Set the strategic vision for manufacturing engineering, test, and test development across hardware production lines.
• Lead the roadmap for contract manufacturer test capabilities, automation, test data analytics, networking, and remote monitoring infrastructure.
• Improve test infrastructure efficiency, factory uptime, operational maturity, and manufacturing best practices.
• Drive DFM and DFTest requirements into product development goals and support production process improvement with design, quality, and contract manufacturing teams.
• Guide the assessment and resolution of technical issues involving manufacturing processes, vendors, design margins, test limits, and product software.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, approve policy exceptions, and coordinate production and NPI requirements with IT.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of experience in mid- to high-volume outsourced contract manufacturing and SMT environments.
• At least 7 years managing manufacturing test, manufacturing engineering, or related manufacturing teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in electronics or a related field, with experience in manufacturing processes, manufacturing testing, quality control, or contract manufacturing management.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing test operations, product development processes, contract manufacturer relationships, and industry best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including consensus building and collaboration with executives and senior leaders.
• Strong leadership, team-building, self-motivation, accountability, and problem-solving skills.
