Anthropic develops reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems intended to be safe and beneficial for users and society.
What you will do
- Design and document assembly, rack integration, and test processes for server and rack products, including work instructions, process flows, takt and cycle-time targets, and line layouts.
- Lead new line and site bring-up at contract manufacturing and ODM partners through process validation, capacity verification, pilot builds, and mass-production release.
- Specify, source, and validate tooling, fixtures, and test equipment.
- Own first-pass yield, cycle time, and process capability in production; analyze failure and rework data and drive corrective actions.
- Provide design-for-manufacturing and design-for-test feedback, qualify process and engineering changes, and maintain PFMEAs, control plans, and operator training.
- Partner with product engineering, test engineering, quality, and supply chain to resolve systemic build issues, replicate qualified processes, audit partner lines, and reduce unit cost.
Requirements

- Experience designing and releasing production processes end to end, including line layouts, work instructions, fixtures, testing, yield, and cycle-time ownership in mass production.
- Experience leading a new line or site bring-up at a manufacturing partner.
- Experience with PFMEA, control plans, SPC, process capability, gauge R&R, DFM/DFT, and structured root-cause methods such as 8D.
- Ability to diagnose factory-floor process issues through observation and manufacturing telemetry and communicate effectively with operators, engineers, partners, and leadership.
- Bachelorβs degree or equivalent practical experience in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering; ability to travel up to 50% is required.
Nice to have
- Experience manufacturing servers, racks, switches, or accelerator systems at data-center scale.
- Experience with liquid-cooled rack integration, including cold plates, manifolds, CDUs, and leak and fill testing.
- Experience with SMT and PCBA, box build, rack-level system integration and testing, or qualifying a second contract manufacturer or site.
- Experience applying lean, value stream mapping, kaizen, or Six Sigma at a manufacturing partner.
- Masterβs degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline.
Culture & Benefits
- Collaborative work across research, engineering, policy, and business disciplines.
- Competitive compensation with optional equity donation matching.
- Generous vacation and parental leave.
- Flexible working hours and office collaboration opportunities.
