EDA Tools Software Engineer

Location: Hybrid work model in the United States, with primary locations in Phoenix, Arizona, and additional locations in Folsom and San Jose, California.

Annual salary: $149,600–$284,580 USD

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and debug software tools, flows, and methodologies for design automation and hardware product development.
• Capture user stories and technical requirements from design and manufacturing stakeholders.
• Write functional and test code for EDA tools and workflows.
• Automate software build and deployment processes.
• Perform unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Support design enablement and tool optimization for semiconductor technologies.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical or software engineering, design enablement, or tool optimization.
• In-depth knowledge of semiconductor device physics, process technology, and design rules.
• Experience with electromigration, IR drop, ESD, reliability verification, extraction, simulation tools, flows, and methodologies.
• Scripting experience with SKILL, Python, Perl, or Tcl.
• Ability to work under the stated hybrid US work model.

Nice to have

• Experience with physical verification flows, including LVS and DRC.
• Experience optimizing product performance, power, area, and cost.
• Experience leading cross-functional or industry-wide initiatives and task forces.
• Experience applying AI/ML to analog layout generation, automation, geometry, or graph-based problems.
