Associate Principal IT Product Lead (Digital Applications)

Location: Alameda, California, United States; onsite office environment. Occasional travel of 5–10% to company sites, conferences, or vendor locations may be required.

Salary: $174,000–$246,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Own the vision, strategy, architecture, and roadmap for a portfolio of digital applications.
• Manage product lifecycles from ideation through launch and post-launch optimization using Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.
• Translate user and business needs into product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and specifications.
• Coordinate engineering, architecture, quality assurance, business, and external vendor teams to deliver scalable, secure, high-quality products.
• Lead user research, usability testing, stakeholder alignment, prioritization, and KPI tracking.
• Maintain operational stability, performance, security, data quality, and compliance across digital applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 11 years of related experience, master’s degree with 9 years, PhD with 5 years, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 6 years supporting enterprise IT business functions and 8+ years of progressive IT experience.
• At least 6+ years in a leadership role focused on digital applications or product management within the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience leading product development teams in an agile, product-centric operating model.
• Strong understanding of drug discovery, clinical development, or commercialization lifecycles in pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies.
• Experience with SaaS or cloud platforms such as Veeva, Salesforce, AWS, or Azure, or pharma systems such as LIMS, SAP ERP, EDC, CTMS, or CRM; GxP compliance experience is required.

Nice to have

• Salesforce Marketing Cloud configuration, deployment, and implementation experience.
• Experience implementing and supporting MarTech applications in the pharmaceutical industry.
