Computational Neuroscience Intern (Machine Learning)

Location: Bar Harbor, Maine, United States; remote work may be possible, with regular communication with lab members required.

Pay range: $14.50–$30.51 per hour.

What you will do

• Develop and implement statistical and machine learning models for computational neuroscience data analysis.
• Analyze datasets from neurophysiological recordings and animal behavior experiments.
• Perform data mining, data curation, and storage in research repositories.
• Develop novel computational methods and evaluate existing analytical approaches.
• Collaborate with Joy Lab members, study scientific literature, and contribute to scientific publications.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree required.
• Interest or background in computational neuroscience and biological research.
• Ability to communicate regularly and effectively with lab members.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or experience in neuroscience, machine learning, computational biology, statistics, data science, or a related field.
