Application Development Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Beaverton, Oregon, or Chandler, Arizona, United States; relocation eligible; approximately 20% travel required

Salary: $128,000–$176,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the product application roadmap based on customer technologies, challenges, and future requirements.
• Serve as technical lead for complex application development, customer engagements, and cross-functional projects.
• Drive beta-site evaluations, customer demonstrations, proof-of-concept activities, and implementation timelines.
• Develop application support plans for product installation and deployment.
• Create methodologies to optimize system performance for specific customer applications.
• Validate and transfer new application capabilities to customer-facing application support organizations.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in physics, electrical engineering, materials science, or a related technical field preferred; a master’s degree with relevant industry experience may be considered.
• Experience in semiconductor inspection, metrology, testing, or advanced packaging applications strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting semiconductor customer evaluations, installations, and application development is highly desirable.
• Advanced expertise in a specialized technical discipline and the ability to solve complex customer challenges.
• Experience translating business and technical requirements into effective solutions or product enhancements.
• Strong leadership, communication, presentation, analytical, and technical problem-solving skills.
