Ammonia and Refrigeration Tech I - Manufacturing

Location: Onsite at 20200 W 167th St, Olathe, Kansas, United States. Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 8:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m.

Hourly wage: $31.85–$39.85, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Operate material-handling equipment, battery-powered equipment, machinery, compressors, and fan units.
• Diagnose and repair complex ammonia refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical system issues using blueprints, schematics, multimeters, and laptops.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs according to OEM instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Serve on the HazMat team, monitor work areas, contain hazardous materials, and address safety risks.
• Complete work orders, maintenance logs, repair records, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate work assignments, support team members, and identify process-improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Trade or vocational school degree or certification in industrial maintenance or a similar field; or qualifying experience.
• One year of industrial refrigeration experience, or two years of HVAC, wastewater treatment, or industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot refrigeration systems involving logic controls, external I/O devices, and mechanical and electrical components.
• Ability to work onsite in Olathe, Kansas, on the stated overnight schedule.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, company policies, and hazardous-material requirements.

Nice to have

• RETA Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO) certification.
• Willingness to obtain CARO certification within 30 months of the job entry date.
