Focus on executing complex operating procedures, supporting biologically accurate mouse models, and solving common study-related problems.

Location: Bar Harbor, Maine, United States; onsite laboratory role

Pay range: $20.15–$33.74 per hour, determined by experience

What you will do

  • Perform basic biomethods and humanized procedures, including animal handling, restraint, clinical observations, body weights, ear notching, tail tipping, and ear tagging.
  • Administer oral, subcutaneous, intraperitoneal, and intravenous doses.
  • Collect blood and other biospecimens, perform basic necropsies and blood processing, and prepare samples for shipping.
  • Provide animal husbandry, cage-side observations, environmental monitoring, and proactive welfare support.
  • Maintain laboratory sanitation, equipment, documentation, databases, and protocol records.
  • Follow SOPs and study protocols, complete assignments on time, and collaborate with cross-functional In Vivo teams.

Requirements

  • Two-year associate degree in science; a bachelor’s degree in a life science field is strongly preferred.
  • Basic laboratory animal handling skills and the ability to perform biomethods, dosing, blood collection, necropsy, and blood processing.
  • Successful record-keeping skills and accurate data entry in laboratory IT systems and databases.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills across diverse disciplines and experience levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, remain flexible, and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to use Word, Excel, Outlook, and similar computer software.

Nice to have

  • Previous cell culture experience.
  • Flow cytometry experience.
