Senior Claims Data Analyst (Business Intelligence): Analyzing claims data, developing reports and forecasts, and creating visualizations to support operational and strategic decisions with an accent on data accuracy, statistical analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. Focus on monitoring claims performance, resolving data discrepancies, and transforming complex data into actionable information for business partners.
Location: Must reside in Oregon and work remotely from a home office with travel to the Salem headquarters approximately once per week.
Salary: $93,339–$109,810 annually; full salary range $82,360–$137,265.

What you will do
- Plan and conduct operational studies, synthesizing complex claims data into recommendations for policies, procedures, programs, and products.
- Create and maintain reports, forecasts, tables, charts, statistics, narratives, and visualizations for management and employees.
- Analyze claims operational performance, utilization trends, customer experience, budgets, initiatives, programs, and costs.
- Monitor claims data accuracy, create error reports, investigate discrepancies, and improve data and reporting integrity.
- Provide ad hoc analytical support and communicate findings clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Collaborate with claims, audit, finance, actuarial, underwriting, policyholder services, IT, and data and analytics teams on reporting, governance, projects, and data strategy.
Requirements
- Five or more years of experience in business analytics, data analysis, or operational research.
- Experience with data visualization, data querying, and business intelligence tools.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, and strong Tableau or comparable analytical tool experience are required.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, economics, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of skills and experience.
- Ability to earn and maintain certification as an Oregon workers’ compensation claims examiner.
