Technical Sales Support Specialist (Biotechnology)

Location: Shanghai, China; China-based role with remote work and customer travel of up to 25%

What you will do

• Provide technical support to researchers and distributor partners on products, applications, mouse models, and related services.
• Troubleshoot experimental issues, including strain selection based on genetics and phenotype, and document customer cases in the CRM system.
• Deliver live and virtual product presentations, technical seminars, customer training, and educational sessions.
• Support sales activities, identify customer needs, develop account relationships, and create sales-support materials.
• Develop and update scientific literature, product documents, white papers, model overviews, handouts, and web content.
• Relay customer feedback to commercial, R&D, and product teams, analyze technical issue trends, and support product launches and improvements.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in biotechnology, life sciences, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field; PhD is a plus.
• 4+ years of relevant experience, with laboratory and technical experience; mouse genetics experience is preferred.
• Experience providing technical support, explaining technical solutions, solving customer problems, and working with diverse audiences.
• Excellent scientific presentation, written and verbal communication, customer service, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently in a remote environment, and travel up to 25%.
• Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is required.

Nice to have

• Research experience in cancer, immunology, autoimmunity or inflammation, neurobiology, or metabolic disease.
• PhD in a relevant scientific discipline.
