IT Systems Administrator

Location: Washington, District of Columbia, United States (hybrid)

Salary: $87,700 per year

What you will do

• Install, support, and troubleshoot hardware and operating systems across Mac, Windows, and Linux environments.
• Provide technical assistance to staff through email, phone, in-person support, and remote management tools.
• Administer cloud services including Office 365 and Azure, backup systems, and office networks.
• Onboard and off-board staff, and provide training on information security, data protection, privacy, software tools, and general IT skills.
• Manage IT asset inventories, software licensing, procurement coordination, videoconferencing hardware, and virtual meeting platforms.
• Evaluate new hardware and software and support their integration into the existing IT environment.

Requirements

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Proficiency administering Microsoft Office 365 and Exchange.
• Experience managing cross-platform systems including Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux.
• Skills in cloud computing, identity management, network troubleshooting, and device management with JAMF and Intune.
• Advanced knowledge of information security best practices, database administration, and data protection laws.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Washington, DC and communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in writing.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+.
