Medical Information Specialist - Nurse

What you will do

• Respond to unsolicited medical and safety information requests from consumers, healthcare professionals, and other external customers through telephone, email, web, letters, fax, and scientific meetings.
• Provide labeled and unlabeled medical information responses using approved labeling, standard responses, published literature, and other relevant data.
• Identify, document, and report adverse events, pregnancy reports, special situation events, and product complaints according to regulations, SOPs, and client working practices.
• Log inquiries accurately and on time in inquiry-handling systems and complete assigned tasks within required deadlines.
• Perform quality checks on adverse events, product quality complaints, correspondence, and logged inquiries.
• Provide rotated after-hours coverage and protect confidential information in accordance with data privacy requirements.

Requirements

• Life science, nursing, or pharmacy degree; nursing qualifications may include RN, BS, BA, or MS.
• English language proficiency and fluent, grammatically correct writing in the target language for the role.
• Strong verbal and written communication, proofreading, professional telephone etiquette, and empathetic customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, regulations, and industry standards.
• Critical thinking, analytical ability, attention to detail, multitasking, and effective prioritization within restrictive timeframes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems, with the ability to learn inquiry-handling databases.
