SR Frontier Industry Advisor - Insurance (AI)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; hybrid schedule with 1 day per week in the office

What you will do

• Act as the insurance industry subject matter expert for Japan and advise senior customer decision makers on digital and AI transformation.
• Originate and develop strategic business opportunities connecting insurance outcomes with cloud, data, AI, security, and partner capabilities.
• Build multi-year industry roadmaps, account plans, business-value cases, and executive relationships across the insurance value chain.
• Identify and qualify Forward Deployed Engineering opportunities and partner with embedded engineering teams to productionize AI and agent solutions.
• Collaborate with account teams, solution teams, engineering groups, consulting organizations, and partners to execute complex transformation programs.
• Provide industry insight on regulation, market trends, competitors, customer operating models, and future product needs.

Requirements

• 7+ years of customer-facing experience in financial services, management consulting, consultative selling, technology, advisory, strategy, transformation, or business development, or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, business, or a related field; a master’s degree may be accepted with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in financial-services transformation involving cloud, data, AI, automation, security, modern platforms, or related technologies.
• Ability to engage senior business decision makers, shape value propositions, and translate industry priorities into technology-enabled opportunities.
• Experience with Asian banking or insurance markets and familiarity with the Asian or Australian regulatory environment, including Japanese insurance regulation.
• Fluency in both English and Japanese is required.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of customer-facing experience in financial services or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience working with forward-deployed or embedded engineering teams to co-build production-grade AI and agent solutions.
• Experience across underwriting, claims, fraud, compliance, regulatory reporting, customer experience, digital channels, or insurance operations.
