Specialist Electrical Engineer (Offshore Water Injection)

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with relocation to the Spain office and subsequent return to Abu Dhabi.

What you will do

• Develop and review electrical design deliverables for offshore water injection facilities.
• Perform load flow, short-circuit, motor-starting, harmonic, and protection-coordination studies.
• Prepare and review equipment specifications, datasheets, calculations, requisitions, single-line diagrams, load lists, and cable schedules.
• Design and review MV/LV distribution systems and integrate water injection, seawater lift, and other rotating equipment.
• Evaluate generators, transformers, switchgear, VFDs, motors, UPS systems, battery chargers, lighting, cathodic protection, and heat-tracing equipment.
• Provide fabrication, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, vendor, client, EPC, and technical interface support.

Requirements

• 15+ years of electrical engineering experience in Oil & Gas, offshore, EPC, or energy projects.
• At least 5 years in a Specialist or Senior Electrical Engineering role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; a Master’s degree and professional engineering certification are preferred.
• Experience with offshore platforms, water injection projects, FPSOs, offshore processing facilities, or subsea developments.
• Strong experience across FEED, detailed engineering, EPC, commissioning, and start-up phases.
• Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, NFPA, API, IECEx, and ATEX requirements, plus experience with ETAP, SKM, or DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
