HSE Manager (Offshore Oil & Gas)

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; the role will initially be based in the UAE, then relocate to the Spain office before returning to Abu Dhabi.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and maintain the project HSE Management Plan.
• Lead risk assessments, HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS, JSA, and other safety studies.
• Monitor offshore construction, installation, commissioning, and brownfield modification activities.
• Manage Permit-to-Work and Control of Work processes.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, corrective action tracking, inspections, audits, and management reviews.
• Oversee contractor HSE performance, emergency preparedness, environmental protection, workforce engagement, and communication with clients, regulators, and project teams.

Requirements

• 20–25+ years of HSE experience in the oil and gas industry.
• At least 5 years in a managerial or HSE leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience in offshore EPC, brownfield modifications, water injection projects, offshore islands, platforms, shutdowns, and SIMOPS environments.
• NEBOSH International Diploma, NVQ Level 6, CSP, GradIOSH/CMIOSH, or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Middle East or ADNOC offshore project experience is highly preferred.

Nice to have

• Lead Auditor certification for ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001.
