Excellence Center Systems Engineer (OEM)

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; remote coverage model serving a global account base from an EMEA time zone. Occasional travel of 5–10% is expected.

What you will do

• Act as the first technical point of contact for inbound OEM partner questions, triaging, resolving, and escalating requests.
• Size and validate storage configurations for partner quotes with speed and accuracy.
• Lead and coordinate technical responses to RFx and RFP requests, involving specialists when needed.
• Review partner reference configurations to ensure they remain current, supportable, and quotable.
• Provide technical coverage for migration accounts and help move opportunities from identification to quotation.
• Log activity in SFDC and ServiceNow and contribute to tooling, templates, and repeatable playbooks.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of professional experience in a technical or pre-sales environment, such as systems engineering, solutions architecture, infrastructure consulting, or technical support.
• Working knowledge of block, file, object, and cloud technologies, with the ability to design solutions for well-defined requirements.
• Experience with sizing tools, configuration validation, and producing accurate quotations under time pressure.
• Fluent spoken and excellent written English required, including the ability to prepare clear RFx and RFP responses.
• Strong autonomy, prioritization, collaboration, and communication skills with sales and technical stakeholders.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or another technical field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Awareness of storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, Object, and SAN.
• Familiarity with VMware, Linux, and networking fundamentals.
• Experience in the telecommunications or OEM sector, open-source storage platforms, or Red Hat OpenShift.
