TL;DR
Professional Services Engineer (NetApp Storage): Deploying, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise NetApp storage environments in Cork with an accent on ONTAP, SAN/NAS protocols, cloud integrations, replication, and disaster recovery. Focus on resolving complex performance and infrastructure issues, leading technical activities, training customers, and serving as an escalation resource.
Location: Cork, Ireland; hybrid working environment with some in-office and/or in-person expectations

What you will do
- Administer and deploy storage environments using CDOT and 7-Mode.
- Troubleshoot storage performance and manage firmware, operating system, cluster switch, and SAN fabric switch upgrades.
- Configure and support CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, snapshots, failover, provisioning, deduplication, cloning, SnapMirror, IntelliSnap, replication, and security hardening.
- Support cloud and hybrid storage solutions including Cloud Volumes ONTAP, StorageGrid, E-Series, Cloud Backup, data classification, and Amazon FSx for ONTAP.
- Perform backup and disaster recovery testing and support cluster deployments.
- Lead technical activities, provide customer training, manage stakeholders, and act as an escalation resource.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience with storage administration and deployment, including CDOT and 7-Mode.
- Strong knowledge of management and monitoring tools, performance troubleshooting, upgrades, SAN fabric, and cluster switches.
- Experience with storage backup, disaster recovery, cloud infrastructure, networking, virtualization, servers, and S3-compatible object storage.
- Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of AI and Generative AI tools for operational efficiency, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Strong stakeholder management, customer-facing, collaboration, ITIL, managed services, outsourcing, and cloud operations skills.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Trident, Trident Protect, OpenShift, OpenStack, LogicMonitor, WAN, SAN, and disaster recovery technologies.
- Experience with Windows Server, Linux, VMware vSphere, Cisco UCS, FlexPod, Commvault, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Relevant or cloud certifications.
