Specialist Technical HSE (Offshore Water Injection Project) (Process Safety and Risk Management): Providing technical HSE and process safety expertise across FEED, detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, startup, and operations for an offshore water injection project with an accent on hazard identification, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance. Focus on leading HAZID, HAZOP, Bow-Tie, SIMOPS, SIL, ENVID, and risk assessment workshops, reviewing safety-critical elements, and supporting brownfield modifications and offshore installation activities.
Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; the role will relocate to the Spain office and then return to Abu Dhabi.

What you will do
- Provide technical HSE and process safety support throughout FEED, detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, startup, and operations.
- Lead HAZID, HAZOP, Bow-Tie, SIMOPS, ENVID, SIL, and risk assessment workshops.
- Develop risk registers, perform qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, support ALARP demonstrations, and define mitigation measures.
- Prepare and review fire and gas, fire protection, emergency shutdown, EERA, FRA, QRA, and safety-critical element documentation.
- Assess brownfield modifications, tie-ins, shutdowns, and offshore construction activities, including site assessments and safety audits.
- Manage contractor HSE reviews, incident investigations, corrective actions, audits, and commissioning safety requirements including PSSR.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, occupational health and safety, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, or a related discipline.
- NEBOSH International Diploma or an equivalent professional HSE qualification.
- 15–18 years of HSE experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least 5 years in technical HSE, process safety, or loss prevention.
- Strong experience with offshore EPC and brownfield modification projects, offshore water injection systems, and production or utility systems.
- Extensive experience with HAZOP, QRA, SIL, EERA, and fire and gas studies.
- Experience with ADNOC Offshore and Middle East projects is highly preferred.
Nice to have
- Process safety certification.
- Lead Auditor Certification for ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001.
- Power BI experience.
