Salary: $76,856–$109,892 per year

What you will do

  • Support the development, deployment, optimization, installation, modification, upgrades, and maintenance of wafer processing equipment.
  • Evaluate equipment health and improve uptime, throughput, reliability, and process stability.
  • Develop factory control strategies using automation, sensors, and AI-driven monitoring.
  • Deploy data collection systems and integrate equipment using Python, SQL, and AI frameworks.
  • Build or support lightweight AI models and rule-based logic for anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, and automated interlocks.
  • Partner with Equipment, Process, Yield, and Data Engineering teams on root cause investigations, documentation, technical support, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Experience with semiconductor or wafer manufacturing equipment, including photolithography, plating, metrology, or inspection systems.
  • Understanding of equipment performance, reliability, and maintenance practices.
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools such as JMP, Minitab, or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficiency in programming or scripting with Python, SQL, R, or similar tools.
  • Experience or exposure to equipment control strategies or factory automation systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 2+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree or PhD with 0+ years of experience, or equivalent education and experience; occasional off-shift support may be required.

Nice to have

  • Experience integrating sensors, edge devices, or data acquisition systems into manufacturing equipment.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts for equipment monitoring or fault detection.
  • Experience upgrading legacy tools with modern controls, sensors, or automation.
  • Knowledge of SPC, DOE, DMAIC, or structured problem-solving methodologies.
