Senior Software Developer, Field Delivery (React/Python)

Location: Remote in California, USA

Salary: $117,000–$209,330 annual base salary for U.S.-based roles; offers may exceed this range and may include bonuses, stock grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and maintain features across a React web application, React Native iOS and Android apps, and a Python/Django backend.
• Design, implement, document, and test REST APIs that remain reliable under intermittent connectivity.
• Translate product requirements into technical plans with product managers and designers.
• Write maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to architecture and system design decisions.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in on-call rotations, resolve production issues, and improve development workflows and tooling.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Python proficiency with experience building backend services and APIs, plus Django or a similar Python web framework.
• Experience building web applications with React and mobile applications with React Native for iOS and Android.
• Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, and with designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.
• Clear communication, effective feedback, and a strong focus on software quality.

Nice to have

• Experience with offline-first or connectivity-resilient mobile applications and Django REST Framework.
• Familiarity with AWS services, cloud infrastructure, feature flagging, and incremental rollouts.
• Experience using AI agents to accelerate development workflows.
• Background in construction, workforce management, or field operations software.
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical projects.
