Staff Software Engineer, Full-Stack (AWS)

Location: US Remote - California; candidates within a 1-hour commuting distance of the office may be expected to work onsite most of the time.

Salary: $165,848–$269,259 per year, with possible bonuses, commissions, or other compensation.

What you will do

• Design and build scalable AWS cloud systems powering core collectibles platforms and customer experiences.
• Develop APIs and backend services supporting buying, selling, authentication, and grading journeys across web and mobile.
• Own technical architecture and end-to-end feature delivery from design through deployment.
• Build and improve grading and authentication workflows focused on trust, accuracy, performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Use modern AI tools and techniques to accelerate development and engineering productivity.
• Lead design reviews, code reviews, mentorship, and engineering-quality improvements across teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience building web applications, APIs, and distributed systems at scale.
• 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience, including serverless and event-driven architectures.
• Deep proficiency in at least one object-oriented language and the ability to work with Python, C#, or Java.
• Strong engineering fundamentals in object-oriented programming, design patterns, testing, security, and observability.
• Experience with service-oriented or microservice-based systems and modern client-side frameworks such as React or Next.js.
• Ability to work legally in the United States is validated through e-Verify.
