Powder Coat and Fabrication Lead (Second Shift)

Location: Jacksonville, Florida, United States; second shift; onsite shop/warehouse environment.

What you will do

• Execute daily production priorities, report progress, and ensure production quality.
• Maintain powder coating equipment and systems, including chemical balances and metal treatment processes.
• Track water, chemical, and powder usage to support environmental compliance.
• Coordinate scheduling and stage parts through powder coating to support production requirements.
• Manage materials and supplies for the powder line, including powder, chemicals, filters, and safety equipment.
• Supervise, train, and support personnel fabricating metal, copper, phenolic, and other parts for switchboard and switchgear assemblies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a metal fabrication shop using mechanical equipment.
• Experience operating a paint line.
• Experience operating industrial CNC fabrication equipment, including shears, turret punches, press brakes, bus bar cutters, and punching and forming machines.
• Ability to interpret mechanical fabrication drawings, metal flats, and SolidWorks packages.
• Team leadership, communication, employee training, motivation, and process improvement skills; ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding shop environment.

Nice to have

• Four-year college or technical degree.
• At least three years of relevant job experience in place of the preferred degree.
