Avionics Production Supervisor, PCBA (Aerospace)

Salary: $126,000–$190,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Manage and support the avionics PCBA rework technician team and SMT production line.
• Support technician training, certification, and professional development.
• Drive daily production execution, quality assurance, and schedule adherence.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Production Control, and Logistics on material readiness and issue resolution.
• Improve build efficiency and technician ergonomics through tooling, floor layouts, and capital equipment.
• Establish and track production metrics including throughput, cycle time, and first-pass yield.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of production leadership experience in aerospace, electronics, or another high-reliability manufacturing environment.
• Direct experience managing or supporting teams building or reworking PCBAs and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, collaboration, computer, and analytical skills.
• Experience with spreadsheets, databases, shop floor management software, ERP/MRP/MES systems, or related dashboards.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of avionics or aerospace manufacturing standards such as IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, or NASA-STD-8739.
• Experience developing or optimizing manufacturing workstations, tooling, and layouts.
• Experience with ERP and MES systems for production management.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
• Technical background in electronics or harness design, build, or test.
