Mid-Level Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) (Financial Services)

Location: Hybrid in Southlake, Texas or Austin, Texas, United States

Salary: USD $43.71–$55.51 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for web applications and REST APIs.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable test automation code using modern .NET frameworks and C#.
• Perform API testing with REST Assured, Postman, and Bruno.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo and GitHub Actions.
• Conduct performance and security testing with JMeter and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Collaborate with developers, business system analysts, and product teams in Agile environments; troubleshoot failures and participate in code reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or 4–6+ years of hands-on SDET experience.
• Strong experience with .NET 6+ and C# 10+, including development and maintenance of business applications.
• Experience with Selenium, Cypress or Playwright, JUnit or TestNG, and Cucumber-based BDD frameworks.
• Experience with REST Assured, Postman, Bruno, Bamboo, GitHub Actions, MS SQL, and JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, plus security, system, integration, regression, and testing best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and attention-to-detail skills.

Nice to have

• Financial services experience, particularly intra-day liquidity and cash movement.
• ETL and data validation experience for end-to-end testing.
• Experience with Angular or React, cloud-based test environments, and shift-left testing.
