Software Test Engineer

Location: Chantilly, Virginia, United States. Must be a U.S. Citizen.

What you will do

• Perform functional, system, integration, regression, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing for enterprise applications.
• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, cases, scripts, and testing documentation based on business and technical requirements.
• Design and maintain automated test scripts and execute automated test suites to improve coverage, efficiency, and repeatability.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Document, track, validate, and retest software defects through resolution.
• Support test environments, test data management, system integrations, release validation, deployment readiness, Agile ceremonies, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least five years of experience in software quality assurance, software testing, or related technical roles.
• Experience with both manual and automated testing across enterprise applications.
• Experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts and test automation frameworks.
• Experience working in Agile and Scrum software delivery environments, with knowledge of SDLC, testing methodologies, and defect management.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps environments.
• Experience with API testing tools, service validation, and complex application integrations.
• Familiarity with performance, load, or scalability testing.
• Experience supporting cloud-hosted applications, particularly Microsoft Azure environments.
