Senior Software Developer (GCP)

Location: Onsite in Southlake, Texas or Austin, Texas

Salary: USD $130,000–$160,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve cloud-based data solutions for high-volume data processing and delivery.
• Develop scalable data integration platforms and modern data pipelines using GCP, BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer, and Terraform.
• Build and maintain Java applications, services, REST APIs, and web services.
• Implement ETL and data transformation solutions with reliable, secure, and high-performing delivery.
• Drive architectural decisions, improve engineering practices, and support strategic modernization initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners, business analysts, and distributed development teams in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of software engineering experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications.
• At least 5 years of experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Java, SQL, relational databases, stored procedures, data integration architectures, and ETL solutions.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated deployments, unit testing, REST APIs, and web services.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and technical decision-making skills.

Nice to have

• 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud and data engineering solutions.
• Experience with Apache Airflow, Informatica, Python, or TypeScript.
• Google Cloud Professional Certifications and experience with Jira or similar Agile tools.
• Experience mentoring engineers, improving operational efficiency, and providing technical leadership.
