Senior Staff Release Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: $235,000–$280,000 base salary per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Map the release architecture across CI, testing, deployment, and infrastructure layers.
• Baseline CI, test, and deployment performance and identify major failure modes.
• Own the release-tooling roadmap and improve operational health.
• Remove CI and deployment bottlenecks while improving observability and diagnosis.
• Operate and improve release systems based on Argo CD, Terraform, Atlantis, and Kubernetes.
• Build self-service workflows, automated safeguards, and a repeatable model for safe, fast releases.

Requirements

• Experience owning critical CI/CD or release infrastructure at meaningful scale and delivering measurable cross-team improvements.
• Strong distributed-systems fundamentals and the ability to diagnose failures across build, test, deployment, and infrastructure layers.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes-based delivery systems and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Argo CD, Terraform, and Atlantis or comparable systems.
• Experience automating repetitive work, investing in testing and passive defenses, and using data to measure reliability and performance improvements.
• Ability to gather context quickly, form clear technical opinions, communicate directly, and own outcomes.
• Full-time hybrid work in San Francisco is required.

Nice to have

• Experience as an SRE.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools.
• Experience with multi-agent development workflows and programming in TypeScript or Go.
