SEA Finance Controller

Location: Hybrid, Singapore (City), Singapore. The role covers legal entities across Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Brunei, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Candidates must describe their working rights in Singapore; work pass sponsorship is subject to quota and availability.

What you will do

• Lead country controllership across Southeast Asian legal entities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, Group policies, the hirify.global Internal Control System, and local statutory requirements.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing, legal entity reporting, financial reviews, accounting judgements, provisions, estimates, and balance sheet integrity.
• Drive consistent financial governance, monitor internal controls and delegated authority compliance, and remediate control deficiencies and audit findings.
• Lead and develop the local SEA Finance team and establish clear controllership responsibilities and oversight standards.
• Oversee statutory financial statements, external audits, tax compliance, transfer pricing, filings, and supporting documentation.
• Partner with Business Finance, country teams, Group and Regional Finance, auditors, banks, legal advisers, tax authorities, and other stakeholders on financial risks, reporting, compliance, billing, collections, and working capital.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or a related discipline, or an ACCA qualification.
• At least 8 years of relevant finance experience, including multi-country controllership, statutory reporting, and internal controls, with at least 3 years of leadership experience.
• People management experience.
• Excellent English language skills.
• Excellent communication and people development skills.
• Accurate, analytical, independent, organized, proactive, service-minded, and team-oriented approach.
• Proactive and positive approach to work.

• Audit experience.
• Fluency in additional languages.
• Knowledge of IFS ERP.
• Availability to commence at short notice.
