Billing Analyst (MaaS)

What you will do

• Reconcile token counts, GPU-seconds, storage, and API usage against billed invoice line items each billing cycle.
• Investigate account- and job-level discrepancies, identify metering, pricing, or timing issues, and coordinate fixes with engineering and finance-systems teams.
• Maintain usage-based pricing models for tokens, GPU hours, dedicated capacity, tiered pricing, and committed-use discounts.
• Calculate and issue auditable service credits for GPU faults, node failures, and capacity outages using SLA terms and incident timelines.
• Monitor billing data for duplicate events, missing records, pricing-tier errors, and unusual spend patterns.
• Support customer billing disputes by explaining usage evidence and charge or credit calculations to account managers and support teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in billing operations, revenue operations, or financial analysis in cloud infrastructure, SaaS, or another usage-metered business.
• Strong SQL skills and experience querying large usage and billing datasets in a data warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Hands-on experience with a usage-based or subscription billing platform such as Stripe Billing, Zuora, Chargebee, Metronome, or Orb.
• Knowledge of GPU and compute-based pricing, including per-token, per-GPU-hour, tiered, and committed-use models.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets modeling skills and basic scripting experience in Python or a similar language.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, finance, and customer-facing teams and trace invoice discrepancies back to raw metering events.
