Summer 2027 Personal Lines Claims Intern

Location: Ohio - Columbus, One hirify.global Plaza

Salary: $23–$50 per hour national internship pay range

What you will do

• Complete training on the claims process and support the Personal Lines Claims organization.
• Learn to determine policy coverage and assist with claims investigations, evaluations, and estimates for auto or property damage.
• Initiate follow-ups in claims-handling and related business systems.
• Provide customer service to policyholders, claimants, agents, repairpersons, attorneys, physicians, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare administrative reports and follow claims best practices.
• Complete a capstone project by identifying a Claims function opportunity, developing a solution, and presenting it to Claims leadership.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field.
• Completion of sophomore or junior year is preferred.
• Ability to learn and apply coverage rules, policy exclusions, exceptions, and relevant jurisdictional laws.
• Strong prioritization, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
• Ability to operate a personal computer and claims-related business applications efficiently.
