Summer 2027 Commercial Banking Internship

Location: Columbus, OH; preferred locations include Charlotte, Chicago, Columbus, Detroit, and Houston. Office-based workplace.

Compensation: $21.00–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Collaborate with a manager and team on meaningful commercial banking projects and department initiatives.
• Gain exposure to underwriting, financial statement analysis, credit evaluation, portfolio management, and the commercial credit lifecycle.
• Support market and industry research, client-facing meetings, relationship-building, and business development activities.
• Provide recommendations to improve department operations and business outcomes.
• Work independently and collaboratively while participating in internship events, professional development sessions, and team projects.

Requirements

• Be a high school graduate and enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program with at least one academic term remaining after the summer program.
• Demonstrate teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities or work experience.
• Have strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and relationship-building skills.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States; immigration sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Study Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Relevant coursework in financial accounting, corporate finance, financial statement analysis, economics, or statistics.
• Interest in financial services, commercial banking, lending, or corporate finance.
