TL;DR
Sr. Data Center Technician (Data Center Infrastructure): Deploying, maintaining, and supporting physical data center infrastructure, including server, storage, and network equipment, with an accent on hardware operations, troubleshooting, and workflow improvement. Focus on performing installations and decommissions, developing standardized procedures, and automating routine activities with PowerShell or Python.

What you will do
- Install, remove, upgrade, relocate, inspect, and troubleshoot server, storage, and network equipment.
- Support daily physical data center operations, including hardware deployments, decommissions, inventory management, and asset tracking.
- Assess workflows and identify opportunities to automate routine activities and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, and operations teams to execute infrastructure work accurately.
- Develop standardized procedures, documentation, and repeatable processes while following safety, operational, and change-management standards.
- Use Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, and Microsoft 365 to centralize information and streamline work management.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of server hardware, rail systems, power distribution, and data center operational standards.
- Experience with hardware deployments, decommissions, inventory management, and asset tracking.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment and lift and move equipment.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
Nice to have
- Experience implementing process improvements and operational efficiencies in data center environments.
- Experience with PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting and automation technologies.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365.
- Experience designing collaborative workflows, documentation repositories, dashboards, or process-management solutions.
