Information Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Salary: $72,200–$96,400 annually, plus bonus and benefits; some roles may include equity.

What you will do

• Implement, configure, test, maintain, and integrate enterprise security technologies and platforms.
• Support vulnerability management, asset visibility, endpoint security, penetration-test remediation, and exception management.
• Analyze security and operational data and create dashboards, reports, and metrics for technical and business audiences.
• Use approved AI tools and automation to improve reporting, documentation, analysis, and security operations.
• Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, IT Operations, Cloud, GRC, business teams, and external vendors.
• Track security findings, remediation progress, asset data, configurations, and implementation documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Up to 2 years of relevant experience through employment, internships, research projects, labs, apprenticeships, or other hands-on work.
• Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, security controls, vulnerability management, and risk management.
• Experience with data analysis, reporting, scripting, automation, or dashboards.
• Familiarity with Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, Jira, or similar technologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and collaboration skills, with an interest in applying AI responsibly.

Nice to have

• Exposure to vulnerability management, security engineering, penetration testing, or remediation activities.
• Familiarity with endpoint security, cloud security, EDR, SIEM, CMDB, or asset management tools.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Axonius, Jira, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Security+ certification, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or equivalent.
