Software Engineer, Sensor Platform (Robotics)

Base pay: $132,300–$165,370 annually, plus annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and develop sensor and compute systems for autonomous vehicles and robotics.
• Architect and deploy sensor and autonomous software with high reliability and performance.
• Deliver reliable software through metrics monitoring, automated testing, and vendor collaboration.
• Debug complex systems, identify root causes of failure modes, and deploy effective solutions.
• Drive cross-functional sensor and compute projects with engineers, product managers, stakeholders, and external suppliers.

Requirements

• 2+ years of industry experience in robotics or autonomous driving systems.
• Proficiency in C++, especially concurrency, and strong knowledge of embedded and real-time systems.
• Understanding of the Linux kernel's role in driver performance.
• Bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Clear communication and effective collaboration with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics hardware, sensors, and embedded platforms using CPUs, GPUs, ISPs, and accelerators.
• Experience programming peripheral devices and communication protocols such as USB, SPI, I2C, and UART.
• Experience with radar, lidar, or visual cameras.
• GPU programming and low-level driver optimization for Nvidia GPUs.
• Knowledge of Linux kernel and device-driver programming, networking, IPC, shared memory, and synchronization.
