Senior Clinical Experience Manager (Clinical AI)

Location: Fully remote within the United States

Base salary: $135,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Clinical Experience Managers through clear expectations, feedback, performance management, and professional development.
• Translate Clinical Experience strategy into team plans, operating cadences, capacity decisions, and consistent execution across the client portfolio.
• Oversee client engagement strategies based on CDI and coding structures, workflows, performance goals, stakeholder relationships, and readiness for change.
• Provide senior clinical oversight for complex or escalated engagements and explain the clinical and coding rationale behind AI-generated recommendations.
• Analyze recommendation, acceptance, rejection, query, coding, and workflow data to identify opportunities for education, adoption, workflow improvement, and product action.
• Partner with Client Success, Product, Clinical Operations, Education, and Implementation/Integration to route feedback and scale playbooks, reporting, and best practices.

Requirements

• MD, DO, PA, NP, RN, or another relevant clinical credential, with a strong understanding of patient care and CDI.
• Deep expertise in clinical documentation improvement, inpatient coding, ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCCs, CMS regulations, reimbursement methodologies, and healthcare quality initiatives.
• Strategic thinking and the ability to turn client insights into scalable business, product, and education strategies.
• Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence clinicians, healthcare leaders, and executives.
• Experience managing complex client relationships while maintaining clinical credibility and balancing business objectives.
• Ability to simplify complex clinical, regulatory, and technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in CDI, HIM, Revenue Cycle, Clinical Operations, or related healthcare leadership roles.
• Experience building, mentoring, and scaling clinical or client-facing teams.
• Experience developing strategy, operational processes, and cross-functional programs in a high-growth healthcare technology environment.
• Strong analytical skills using client feedback, operational metrics, and healthcare data for strategic decisions.
• Experience with AI-enabled healthcare technology, SaaS platforms, clinical decision support, conferences, or educational webinars.
