What you will do

• Coordinate with reporters, editors, and outside authors to develop and publish informative, engaging stories.
• Manage stories independently from pitch through publication and improve them after publication when needed.
• Coordinate coverage, identify news insights and breaking news, and support the newsroom’s strategic priorities.
• Manage assignments, provide constructive feedback, and help reporters and contributors strengthen their writing and reporting.
• Drive experimentation, maintain editorial continuity, and apply strong news judgment across the newsroom.
• Manage special projects and secure guests for Industry Group events.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as an editor and/or manager in a news role.
• Demonstrated success identifying, developing, and publishing high-quality stories.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong editing, writing, story-management, presentation, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of digital news and information publishing operations, including graphics and audience engagement strategies.
• Curiosity and sound judgment when covering complex legal, tax, and government actions, with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
