What you will do

• Coordinate with reporters, editors, and outside authors to produce high-impact stories.
• Manage the full lifecycle of stories from initial pitch to final publication.

• Provide constructive, timely feedback to staff to improve reporting and writing quality.
• Drive innovation in storytelling and encourage staff to pursue complex, investigative pieces.
• Manage special projects and ensure editorial continuity across the organization.

Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years of experience as an editor or manager in a news environment.
• Proven track record of identifying, developing, and publishing high-quality stories.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong expertise in digital news publishing operations and editorial standards.
• Exceptional news judgment for unpacking complex legal, tax, and government topics.
• Ability to work effectively and make strong decisions under tight deadlines.
