Conflicts Analyst (New Business)

Salary: $36.00–$52.00 per hour ($74,880.00–$108,160.00 annually) for a 40-hour work week.

hirify.global is a law firm with a Business Intake and Conflicts team supporting ethical clearance of engagements and hires.

What you will do

• Analyze and process conflict requests for firm engagements and hires.
• Prepare database search terms, conflicts reports, and concise summaries of prospective conflicts.
• Conduct corporate, case law, and legal ethics research to identify related parties and potential issues.
• Investigate potential conflicts with partners, attorneys, counsel, and business professionals, and propose resolutions.
• Request and draft conflict waivers and engagement letters, confirm resolutions, and maintain case notes.
• Draft and implement ethical screens and provide conflicts training to business professionals.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of directly applicable experience in a law firm, legal environment, or conflicts department.
• Knowledge of the American Bar Association Model Rules of Professional Conduct and California State Bar Association Rules of Professional Conduct.
• Experience with legal and corporate research and a general understanding of corporate law practice.
• Proficiency in IntApp Open, Contract Express, or similar programs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, iManage, and other firm applications after orientation.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, judgment, and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and handle time-sensitive matters.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree; JD strongly preferred.
• Paralegal certificate or completion of an ethics course in a paralegal program.
• Prior experience as a paralegal or legal researcher in a law firm.
• Complete conflicts resolution experience.
